Hello Reader!

I have so much to share with you today! So I'll get right into it.

Here's what's going on personally:

  1. We are currently anchored in the beautiful Bahia de Concepcion in the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. We sailed right to anchor last night with all three sails, and I am so happy that a fellow sailor took a video of us sailing in! Click here to check out the video on Facebook. Another sailor took a different video which I posted to Instagram, so hopefully you can check out one or the other!
  2. The weather is finally warming up! 80 degrees yesterday and we stopped at a remote little beach with crystal clear water and took our paddleboards to shore
  3. I had the BEST fish tacos of my life in Santa Rosalia, Mexico, and they were only $2 each!

And professionally!

  1. I was featured on the Solo Women RV podcast with Kathy Belge! Kathy is a solo female RVer from my home state of Oregon and has so many tips, interviews and great stories to share in her podcast. Click here to listen to the episode
  2. I am working on the final touches of my non-fiction book proposal about van life that will teach people how to make their van life dreams a reality. This has been a work in progress for years, and I am excited to be able to pitch agents and editors soon!

And now I want to hear from you Reader.

Hit reply and let me know one thing (or more!) in life that you’re excited about! Truly! I want to know. This can be related to what we normally chat about or completely different.

I look forward to your reply! Have a great week!

HeyReader, This might surprise you, but once again we are hauled out at Cabrales boatyard after just three weeks of cruising around the northern Sea of Cortez. Yes, our cruising season on the boat was SUPER SHORT this spring for a variety of reasons: The impending heat The fact that we just got new mountain bikes in the fall that we are very excited to go ride We have tons of family and friends to see The lack of exercise on a sailboat is hard -----PAID AD------- Ready to hit the open road...

HeyReader! Any moment now, we will push out from our marina here in Puerto Penasco, Mexico and head down to the Sea of Cortez for a couple months of cruising. I love this time on our sailboat, when we are exploring the islands off Baja. Someone once asked me: do sailboats boondock like vans and RVs? And the answer is yes, but in the sailboat world it's called gunkholing (referring to the anchor getting stuck in mud). Both have a similar vibe: away from hordes of people, absolute solitude,...

Hey Reader! After a much-needed weekend away from the boatyard, Tom and I made a big decision! We are tired of endless boat work, bouncing around in rough seas, barfing over the stern of the boat, and getting caught in ferocious blows. We are also exhausted by van life: digging holes, showering outside in the wind in sub-zero temperatures, swatting mosquitos, and generally living in the dirt. So we decided to sell both the sailboat and the van and upgrade our lives to..... A CAMPING AIRPLANE....
